Inspiring Workplaces is gathering a global community of Inspirers to create a movement that changes the world for the better through encouraging positive changes in workplaces.
Benchmark created the IW brand along with designing and developing the organisation’s website including community registration and event booking.

The Inspiring Workplaces website is a cornerstone of the organisation’s overall mission. It provides event booking, awards entry, high quality content and access to the IW community in a single destination. As such, its technical requirements are complex but with the necessity for seamless integration between its interconnected parts.
The website content needed to be intuitive to manage, with the flexibility to quickly create new pages for each yearly iteration of long running events like the Inspiring Workplaces Awards along with posts for the content platform. At the same time, this content needed to seamlessly integrate with bespoke functionality such as the community, awards entries and event booking.
These website development requirements meant that a headless WordPress CMS alongside a custom Laravel application was the chosen solution. Pages and posts are managed through the website’s CMS which is pulled into the bespoke Laravel application where user registration and other interactions are managed.
The website also provides powerful awards entry functionality. A fully custom form builder allows the IW team to create dynamic entry forms for each year, including online payments. The platform enables judges to view and score entries through an intuitive online system where entrants can view feedback.
Altogether, the Inspiring Workplaces website is a bold and interconnected ecosystem that enables the entire business through content, community and events.
