Prior to commencing the redesign and redevelopment of the Thenamaris website, we conducted a comprehensive website design audit to identify improvements in how the website expressed the Thenamaris brand and how users were currently able to navigate it. This process identified a number of priorities for the website redesign.
A refined content hierarchy would be essential to ensure that content was easy to read. We would need a consistent type sheet with clear headings, subheadings and text element styles which all used a simplified set of type styles and colours.
We would also look to enhance the use of branded elements across the website. Taking inspiration from the logo and other components of the Thenamaris brand identity would provide ways to reinforce the brand through the website design in a subtle and sophisticated way.
Colour strategy was another important part of our thinking. The site previously relied upon a heavy use of flood colours and we were keen to refine the use of the brand colour palette to add emphasis and highlight particular website elements without drawing attention away from the content of pages.
Finally, we would look to refine motion theory across the website, making considered use of movement and animation in a more sophisticated and corporate way to ensure a level of formality in the design. The increased use of high quality imagery and videos across the website was an important consideration from the outset.
The result was a high quality corporate website which extends and enhances the Thenamaris brand through the use of its typography and brand colours whilst introducing additional design elements such as custom iconography.
The custom WordPress CMS provides quick and intuitive publishing of content for the Thenamaris team to manage the website. The fully responsive design ensures that each page of the website looks just as crisp on mobile and tablet devices as on a larger desktop screen.
Benchmark continues to support Thenamaris today through WordPress hosting, maintenance and monitoring.

Website Typography
By refining the layouts of headings, subheadings and copy, as well as reducing the number of type styles that are used across the site, we established a clear, functional hierarchy that makes information easier to digest.

Brand Elements
Taking inspiration from elements of the company's brand identity, such as the triangular shapeforms, we applied these to the website design in a considered way that reinforces the Thenamaris brand.
Colour Strategy
We introduced colour-theory and defined a strict system for where particular colours are used. For example, the secondary brand colours are applied only as accents or on buttons rather than as large background floods. This process improves usability of the site as important user experience elements are easily identified and separated from content and imagery.

Motion Theory
With a simplified, consistent approach to animations, we ensured a level of interactivity and user engagement whilst avoiding distractions.Intuitive Navigation
A clear navigation structure with improved information scent offers users an insight into the contents of each section with the ability to deep link directly to specific pages for efficient navigation of the website.
